The Hatcher's are moving!

We currently live with a good friend of ours who has decided to move back to the East coast to be closer to his family. Good for him! But that leaves us needing a new place to live which we found the other day in Fremont (close to Aimee's family, so that's a plus).

We like the place because it borders a jogging/biking trail and some nice lakes that can be fished from (I haven't fished in forever)! We're so excited we went strolling around the place today after work just to see what's out there. Take a look!

An old school lens with a DSLR

Ok I know I know it's been a long time since we last made a post. Here we are now and we'll promise to try to make posts more often. We've been super busy, but that's no excuse! On with the post...

On a whim Aimee and I decided to purchase this old school zoom telephoto lens off ebay. It's in mint condition, but it's definitely not for the faint of heart.

It's a Nikon Series E 70-210mm F/4 manual focus lens. The ONLY way this lens works with my new D80 is to set the D80 into manual mode and adjust the aperture ring on the collar of the lens itself. You still adjust the shutter speed on the camera of course.

Boy does this lens bring back memories of high school photography class days and using the Pentax K1000. All manual all the time, awwwwwww yeeeeah. Enough ballyhoo, on with the photos. The model is my lovely wife once again. :)

We ran into a family of chihuahuas while roaming around and this guy's name is Benji.

Don't see this car in this color much, so had to stop and take a photo of it.
