Children and Babies workshop by Augie Chang

Dustin and I are blog-followers (aka stalkers hee hee) of one of the best photographers in the Bay Area.  His name is Augie Chang.  We visit his blog almost everyday and we are always in awe of his work.  We found out that he is having a workshop on how to better photograph babies and kids.  Since I love photographing children, Dustin gave me an early Christmas gift and sent me to the workshop.  

The workshop was a blast!  I met some great people who love photography and learned a lot of things from the expert himself.  Augie invited his friends - The Sadeks and we photographed the cutest kids ever.  

Thanks to the Sadeks for letting us photograph Nick and Jackson.  And a BIG thanks to Augie Chang - for hanging out and for sharing your wisdom and talent with us.

The Micianos / Lake Elizabeth / Fremont / Family Portraits

Jocelyn and Glen are longtime friends. We were so happy to meet up with them and were especially excited to meet their adorable, cute baby, Lauren Jessica!

Since it was Lauren's first time at a park, she just sat and observed everything around her. It took awhile for her to be comfortable around the camera, but finally when she warmed up, she was giggling and she even wanted to chase all the American coots [birds we initially thought were a duck; silly us] around the park.

We had a blast hanging out with the Miciano's, sharing stories and laughing at Lauren's new tricks (in particular, blowing saliva bubbles on her dad's face), and here are some of the pictures to prove it!

The Urmenetas / Old Cesar Chavez Park / Union City / Family Portraits

The Urmenetas are a fun family to hang out with and that's exactly what we did on a Sunday morning. They've been recently blessed with the addition of a son to their family, Jacob.

Jacob is little ball of giggles and smiles and we we're happy to be there to get some of those smiles on camera. We had a great time with them and look forward to doing more photos of them and Jacob!
